System Databases.

In your environment you will have one implementation of the system databases. These databases provide repositories that are common and utilised across all your client implementations.

For every new client implementation records within these databases are updated with the relevant information about the new client implementation.

System Database Definitions.

Each system database provides the data repositories for the system web applications and services configured. These make up the common services that are common to all the Simplicity client implementations.

Simplicity Broker Services Database

The Broker Services database contains all the information pertaining to the distributed issues code ranges for label codes, friend get friend codes and other media service calls as required by the customer interaction studio.

Simplicity DBA Database

Simplicity_DBA

The Simplicity DBA database is a centralised database containing standardised maintenance activities and SQL Server Databases and Windows statistics.

The Simplicity DBA database provides statistics for the following for analysis as required:

  • Allows for analysis of both current and historical events.
    • Accelerated problem resolution.
      • Blocking events.
      • Long running queries.
      • Server resource statistics.
      • etc.
    • Capacity planning and provisioning.
      • Storage statistics.
      • Table/Index growth statistics.
      • etc.
  • Creates visibility of database maintenance activities ensuring they are performed in a standard and consistent manner so these can be monitored and reported on.
  • All SQL Server statistics are centralised in one location.
  • Optional Simplicity DBA dashboard can be used where SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is locally implemented.

Simplicity Email Adaptor Database

Simplicity_EmailAdaptor

The Email Adaptor database stores all the redirection meta data for click through tracking and email bounce handling within Simplicity.

Simplicity Security Database

SimplicityV2

The SimplicityV2 database is used by the sentinel web service which validates the supplied security credentials from the Simplicity desktop application to assess whether the connection to the client database is permitted.

The Simplicity User Maintenance application is used to maintain the user permissions stored within the SimplcityV2 database.
