LOOKING FOR PEOPLE

The menu bar contains access to the entity lists you have been setup with. In this example a person search form. Clicking on the icon will open the associated form in a new window.

PERSON SEARCH FORM

This is a typical example of a person serach form. These same forms are commonly used also for picking an individual for the purposes of forming a new relationship. For example selecting a staff member as an employee.

The form is broken in three distinct areas. One the menu bar, Two the search filter and Three the search results pane.

SEARCHING THE ENTIRE DATABASE

Clicking on the find button will begin the search process.

SEARCH FILTER REQUIRED

Where some of the search screen will be sitting over the top of some very large data sets you may require that some search criteria be supplied so the search is not performed over the entire database. If searching is performed with no criteria when this is true you will be presented with the message as below.

SPECIFYING SEARCH CRITERIA

Specifying search criteria is very simple. Enter the parameters you are interested in the pane highlighted below and click find.

SEARCH RESULTS

You will now be presented with the results matching the search filter criteria you supplied. By hovering over individual search results Simplicity can be configured to present additional information.

NAVIGATING TO AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON

Clicking on an item in the result set will navigate to the associated Simplicity detail form for that item.

NAME BLOCK

Sections of the explorer have been broken into blocks. Clicking on the expand icon to the left will show you the details contained within the block.

UPDATING NAME FIELDS

Clicking on an item within the block will present you with an editable text field where the attribute can be updated.

AUTOMATIC NAME BLOCK FORMATTING

Formatting rules can be set up to take the applied change and updated related attributes where the updated content relates to it. In this example changing the family name has automatically formatted this for us and also updated the salutation, letter carrier and display value for this person.

ADDRESS BLOCK

The address block you will notice also is displaying summary information of it's content so we don't have to expand every node in the explorer to view it's attributes.

MARKING A CONTACT POINT AS INVALID

All contact points within Simplicity have been configured with a flag to mark them as invalid without having to delete all the fields. This also highlights the fact at the top node by changing the node text to red to illustrate this at the summary level to draw attention to this for the next time the customer is made contact with. Great within a call center environment. These flags can also be used to exclude records from selection criteria based on media delivery requirements.

ACTIVITY DETAIL

Custom activity can also be viewed from within the person explorer. This shows everything from emails that have been sent, opened, clicked on, through to packs that have been mailed out or calls made in to your call center.

Clicking on view answers will provide you a list of the individuals responses to the questions that were presented to them.

VIEWING RELATIONSHIPS DETAILS

Where relationships have additional information about them then these are typically expressed in the explorer as an expanded relationship as illustrated below. A good example of This is the staff employer relationship where contact point details like an email address for example

A good example of an attribute that only exists as a result of the a relationship being present is a staff members company email address.
